Morton Gould's, "Benny's Gig" is 8 short duos for Bb and Double Bass. They're deceptively difficult but hot, fun and bluesy swingers/toe-tappers; light, entertaining crowd pleasers...they also make great cherry pickers for encores too. They were written for Benny Goodman as a personal 70th Birthday gift and presented to him on 30 May 1979. If you're interested in a cheap copy consult the classifieds section under "sheet music". v/r KEN

In addition to the material in the Composers database, there's a highly virtuosic Grand Duo by Bottesini with orchestral accompaniment, but also transcribed for piano accompaniment. Bottesini was the "Paganini of the Double Bass," and the bass part is impossibly difficult. The clarinet part is no joke, either. Still, it would be fun to work on. There have been a couple of recordings.
Best regards.

Do you fancy the Beethoven Clarinet / Bassoon duos?
