How sad is this?

In a moment of extreme boredom I decided to embark on a search to find the most regular Sneezy (should I say Woodwind?) contributor.
The results are as follows:-

Mark Charette (obviously) heads the list with 5597 contributions.
GBK 2083
Ken Shaw 2005
diz 1825
david pegel 758
David Dow 639
jez 468
L. Omar Henderson 416
HAT 314
William I suspect would be somewhere on this list, but the name crops up frequently in other contexts, so it's hard to separate it.

This is not very scientific as I've just done a search on the names, so if they've been quoted in other people's replies, that would count, but it's as near as I could be bothered to get!

If I've omitted to search any regular then accept my apologies & feel free to make any amendments.

I'm tempted to try to find people who've only ever made 1 contribution, but I can't think how to do it.

Good clarinetting,
jez

I've made a mere 76 posts...!
To search for post titles ONLY, search for their name, and uncheck "message body" (I think it was... Or was it "Subject"?)

I had only 33. And I thought I was being a bit too vocal at times. Compared to some of the more prolific contributors, I guess I don't really measure up. But then, I've been at this for only a few months :-). I guess there is always room for improvement.

Cheers,

Hank

Huh, wait a second here...I demand a recount. [Electons are coming up again!] I've got 569!!! I guess this makes 570!! That puts me between Dow and Jez.

Only when all the boxes with slits in them get fished out of the Atlantic. Of course when tallied, any posters who were ever in the military won't be counted. v/r KEN

Jez

What about the research you were going to do into Sid Fell, to tell us more about him. Still waiting patiently.

I know I didn't have very many. I respect all of the opinions from those at the top of the list and enjoy reading them, although I typically have little intelligence to add.

But just let me say, Jez - you have waaaaay too much time on your hands.

But concerning Florida - how come those folks who can't punch a hole by the right name on a ballot can keep track of 10 or 12 bingo cards at the same time?

Mark is like Cy Young -- so far ahead nobody will ever come close.

OK, GBK, it's war!

Of course, Mark has shut out a couple of jabberboxes over the years, who would have overwhelmed us all, and Bill Wright over on the Klarinet side is probably ahead of everyone.

jez:

I know some people have changed their online name at least once.

I'm up to 401 posts total. (now 402) But that number is over several years.

In order to do an adequate survey of posters one should tally not only the number of posts but conduct a word count multiplier per post, number of polysyllable words multiplier or devider, subtract demerits for misspelling, subtract points for responses off subject, subtract points for direct attack language, add points for properly listing URL's, add points for graphics (germaine of course - the recent Edsel gets demerits GBK), subtract points for response too technical that get a "Huh" response, and get bonus points for the original poster of a topical subject that gets more than 15 responses. I think that the winner would have to be Mark, first runner up - GBK.

BYW - We now have a double whammy coming to the Southern U.S. - El Nino chilly humid weather throught the Fall (ob cit - minus 2 points)
