I remember a while back someone posted something about flavoured reeds and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find some. I friend of mine has a bithday coming up and i thought it would be nice gag gift of some sort. Thanks for all your help!

I think a LOT of music stores have them. Websites too. A few that I visited recently have them. All sorts of flavors too. From the ever popular strawberry/cherry/grape to more exotic ones. I saw mint, bubblegum, mango, orange, etc. They're popular enough to be all around. Go to a place that sells musical stuff for amateurs as well as advanced. Cause every amateur wants some "flava" to their songs.

PS - I would have bought some myself, but sometimes I miss lunch and am afraid that I'd end up snacking on them. Wouldn't be too healthy . . .

My local music store also has a tube of something you can put on regular reeds to flavor them. This struck me as a better idea because you can pick your own reeds to put the stuff on. I've never tried it, though.

In Middle school everyone use to just dip their reeds in cool aid before they played ! lol Ahh... the good 'ol silly days.

I used to just dip them in ginger ale or a similar drink, although after 2 1/2 years of playing, I've actually come to like the taste of natural reeds. As for flavored reeds, you don't have to look very far to find them. Problem is, they're just plain junk. Junk reeds. In all honesty, aren't you buying your reeds to play with, and not to eat? (because if you like flavored wood for lunch, then munch away!)
