I've got one clarinet that just doesn't tune or sing the way I believe it could. There is very little, if any, undercutting on the tone holes. The work that might be needed to make this a great clarinet goes beyond an overhaul and into the realm of wood modifications. Does anyone have any recommendations for technicians that make bore or tone hole adjustments?

I don't wanna spin off topic, but in a related topic, what is bore/tone hole undercutting or adjustments or whatever? I hear so much about it and wonder what it is? Please email the answer to sfalexi@aol.com in order not to clog up this post with a spinoff topic.

Dear Ken,
Thanks for the link to your previous posting. I found it really interesting, like many of your other postings. How do you know all this stuff??!

Robert -
It's easy. Play the clarinet for 45 years, read everything you can find about it and ask a million questions to everybody who knows anything.
Best regards.
