I'm from north of Dallas, and my director graduated from Howard Payne University (I think). He teaches drum majoring at the summer camp there every year. I'm sure he could help you out. I'll talk to him, and I can probably give you his email address. Just email me personally if you want it. Hope I could help.

Hey! Yeah I know your band director; I went to Howard Payne for drum major camp and both of my band directors graduated from there and now are the directors of the marching band leadership camp. I had an awesome time at camp! It is for drum majors, squad leaders, band members, flags, and percussion. There is marching, leadership training, conducting classes, and also we get together and play our instruments. It's an awesome camp in Brownswood Texas, and anyone living in Texas and is interested in attending camp next summer should really consider-it gets better each year!
They have some awesome staff members and directors which really make the camp rememberable.

From what I've personally seen, heard, and participated, the Howard Payne band seems to be pretty good. I don't know how Howard Payne compares to UNT (Denton), but I seriously doubt if UNT will send its band out on tour and let ordinary amateurs play in live concert right next to them like Howard Payne does. What a kick!
That's where I saw and heard of the beautiful hand picked 1960s era R-13. The college junior who played it made it sound soooo good. Drool, drool...
