This afternoon in our wind ensemble rehearsal, we played through a very nice piece by the Australian composer, Ralph Hultgren, called, BUSHDANCE. In the conductors score, there is a tempo reference indicating that the piece should be played at the "pride of erin", but "not too fast." None of us--mostly college trained band directors--knew what that meant, so I said that I would check with the Aussie section of our clarinet board for help. Thank you!!!

Not sure if this is stating what you already knew, but "Pride of Erin" is another bush dance, I think with Irish roots.
