 New clarinet?

I started playing the clarinet in fourth grade, quit in 8th grade, and went back for high school marching band. Anyways, after I was all caught up with the things I forgot about it, I noticed it was in pretty bad shape. Anyone have any advice on buying a new one? Should I still go with a student clarinet? Keep in mind that I'm in high school and I'm not rich or anything...
