I was wondering if anyone knows the title and composer of this particular piece. It starts out playing on the full instrument and gradually removes joints of the clarinet until the performer is playing only on the mouthpiece at the end. I would appreciate any help.

I don't know the name of the piece either, but I bet Gerry Errante would. He may even be the composer. I seem to remember seeing him perform this some years ago.
I believe Gerry is professor of clarinet somewhere around Virginia (could I be more vague...). I bet if you Google him you will get some info.

There are two that I can think of off the top of my head:
"Immer Kleiner" by Adolf Schreiner
"The Incredible Shrinking Clarinet" by (I think) Lawrence
Both were probably originally written for clarinet and piano. "Immer Kleiner" is also available in a band version. "Immer Kleiner" is the more difficult of the two.
Best regards,
jnk
