I have had this wood clarinet for almost 20 years and have never found out when it was made or how much it is worth. The serial number is D29XX (XX stands for the last two number in case it matters?) I can not find it on any of the lists I have found. I figured out from hours of digging at this site that the Evette's made in France were considered master model's of their time. How can I find out more information on this clarinet before I allow my 8 year old son use it? PLEASE HELP!

As the owner of several evettes (some master models, some not), I thought I'd add a clarification for you. If it's a Master Model, it'll say so right under the logo on the top joint. Many Evettes that are NOT Master Models were made in France, so don't assume that it's a Master Model simply because of the place of production. If it doesn't SAY Master Model on the clarinet, it isn't one. Hope this helps!
