I've trained myself into thinking that anything I played in high school must therefore be very cheesy and way beneath the abilities of anyone who continues to pick up the horn after graduating. That may be a bit harsh.
Still, I had some fun playing the Scene and Air from Luisa di Montfort back then and just now found myself humming it for no reason. So now I'm wondering, is this regarded as a respected piece of clarinet literature? Or is it cheese-encrusted kitsch?

I don't know its reputation but I also enjoyed playing that piece when I was in school. I have occasionally run through it since and it's still fun.
