A friend of mine, whom I had the pleasure of playing with both in high school and my community band is in a coma, with grim odds, due to a one-in-a-million chance type of accident. At 15 she is a terrific clarinet player. She advanced to the first part halfway through her freshman year and was at a high enough calibur to play for our community band, even though she was a bit under the usual membership age. I just received the news and am still in shock, especially given other recent events.
In general (and I hope I am not overstepping any grounds with this - if so, I apologize, Mark), I'm just asking that any of you that can or are willing please keep Melissa in your thoughts, or prayers if that is a part of your faith.
Thank you for your time,
Jenna

Good luck to her, you, and everyone involved. My thoughts are with both of you. Don't lose hope. She's a one-in-million kind of girl, no?
Again, good luck, and keep hope.

Pray to God and put her in his hands. He knows best, He'll take care of her. God has a better plan, for all of us.
I'll be praying for her.
