God willing I will be in Salt lake on July 3,2003. Who else is planning on attending.
If you missed New Orleans you don't want to miss this one.

bob...Are you going 6 days early to get all the good reeds? Practice? Find the perfect mouthpiece before the rest of us arrive?
The Festival begins on July 9...See you there...GBK :-)

Never been to Salt Lake but with all the bells that we will be wearing I hope that it does not drown out the fantastic clarinet music that will be ever present. I thought about driving until I got the 1600 mile figure from Atlanta back from the web search so it will have to be on a big bird with all my wares.

Salt Lake is a fine place for a conference, we enjoyed a Musician's Union conf. a number of years ago and have had occasional overnites [toward Calif.] and visits to Mormon sites and their fine Genealogical Library for research. For you partyers, their liquor laws will be a "solvable puzzle". All in all, very pleasant, moderately expensive. Hope to make it ourselves. Don

It is only a 3 hour drive for me. I definitely plan on being there and hopefully saving on housing by staying with relatives.

Me too, if I can squeeze the time off that week. I really want to see (and hear) what it's like.

I regret having missed New Orleans (and couldn't afford Stockholm) so there is no way I am missing this one. It's a trek from Minnesota, and hubby and I plan to drive out. My husband is a train fanatic (we all have our hobbies)...so while he is off doing his thing I get to be a clarinet "goober".
Can't wait!!!

Sure sounds interesting ..... and I'll certainly have the opertunity. We spend June & July in SW Montana fishing, exploring the countryside, and smelling wildflowers. Only 3 hours to SLC from camp. Has the calander of events been published yet? If so, where available??
Joe.
