I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this. At least, I haven't seen a thread here on it. When Bruce Hornsby played on the Tonight Show earlier this week (Tuesday night? I can't remember) one of his sidemen was playing a bass clarinet. No, I don't know who it was, or what make and model of bass clarinet, I just noted it in passing and observed that some people would probably discuss it on this BB. Guess I was wrong.

I wish I would've caught his Tonight Show spot. I recall working in an adjacent studio a few years back when Bruce was recording his "Spirit Trail" CD. I bumped into a few of his session reed players in the common area of the studio but they were all sax players...I don't remember seeing any bass clarinet cases or horn. Bruce was nice enough though. v/r KEN

Maybe people just don't watch TV much? Mine is used to hold up a cobalt blue vase and, occasionally, if I buy an DVD to watch it.

Diz, you could throw your afghan over it also, when not in use.
