Hey Bulletin Boarder's!! Peter Sriggs is now selling his copy of the Kaspar 14 and I thought I would let you know. Apparently they have turned out really well....some players out there would like to know this. If you get one and try it give a review please.

Who cares how well the Kaspar copy plays? The real question is, how much money can I make selling one on eBay?

{LOL}

David S,
To answer your question:
"Who cares how well the Kaspar copy plays? The real question is, how much money can I make selling one on eBay?"
----I CARE!!----
Some people like myself get gratification from doing a job well and getting reasonable remuneration. It would appear that you are more interested in profit than quality.

Peter,
Take it easy--I believe David S. was spoofing some (rather ridiculous) recent Kaspar sales on ebay. In fact, his "LOL" at the end is a broad clue to this.

With kaspar's and Kanter mouthpieces going for a cost of $800 bucks each on e bay used a new copy cheaper than that could be just as fine.....

Peter,
Please accept my apology for my remark, I was indeed spoofing the absurd prices being realized on eBay for any old mouthpiece with the Kaspar name on it. No offense intended -- although I've never tried your equipment, your reputation is impeccable and I'm sure your Kaspar-copy mouthpieces will be excellent. Peace!

p.s. I've never sold a mouthpiece on eBay, nor do I make any significant money from the music world -- I play, reface, and repair for the love of music, mostly, and for a couple of bucks gas money -- that's about it!

David S,
Apology accepted.

To David Dow,
The information I sent you was for you and you students and colleagues, not for posting on the Bulletin Board. Not only did you spell my name wrong (curious since you have been a client for about 20 years) but you also gave inaccurate info. I told you they would not be available until "late October or even later", yet you are saying that I am selling them now. As a sponsor of this board I am accessible, but you are not allowing comments to be directed straight back to you via email as you are hiding your address. Now I am being deluged with requests for something I don't have ready to sell yet! Please consult me next time, IN ADVANCE!
Peter

Sorry Peter, obviously you may not want advanced buyers out there ready to test or try your stuff. All I know is I have had people offer exorbitant rates for unplayable mouthpieces I have, and felt you we're onto something here. I am sure many players are patient enough to wait till october. Sorry about spelling---and no I don't hide behind not giving e mail, I have a democratic right not to give it out. You have my phone number and could call...however, we all know e bay has 50 million customers for better or worse so I will not try to help and or advocate any product whatsoever except in the confines of my studio....With apologies D. If flute players can be conned into paying thousands for a quick-to-make flute head then clarinet players surely could have their turn for mouthpieces.
