I have a couple copies of pages from the Buegeleson & Jacobson / New York catalog showing Abbott Premier Professional saxophones. Four metal clarinets are shown. one Albert, three boehm, all made from nickel silver. The top of the line was 'triple silver plated' and had an adjustible barrel. Price was $90. The B&J catalog also listed Boston Wonder clarinets starting at $114. Since I believe that the Boston Wonder (probably owned by Cundy Bettoney when the B&J catalog was printed) was an intermediate model, I conclude that the Abbot was a high end student instrument.
