Would anyone know where I could get an old La Voz bass clarinet stand? These were excellent since both the bell and the body were supported. Great for my low C body length.

If you can't find the LaVoz stand, the K&M bass clarinet bass clarinet/bassoon stand works very well and can fit sizes from alto clarinet to EEb contra-alto (so your low-C bass will be no problem).

The Blayman stand is great although a bit heavy. That weight makes it extremely secure and have a small footprint, which is why I still carry it to gigs.

Last time I checked, Blayman had two stands for bass clarinet. What is the difference and which one are you describing???

I can't believe what stands cost. So, I had my husband who owns a machine shop make me one. It weighs an awful lot, but I guarantee it won't tip over. With the cost of a Buffet Prestige these days I don't mind lugging all that weight around knowing my bass won't come crashing down.
Perhaps if you don't find one you like you could have one fabricated.

Hello, how does the Blayman stand hold the instrument? Does it rest on its back or is the bell supported like a sax stand?
