I've seen several Leblanc Normandy Clarinets that have a wooden body but have a ebonite bell. The bells are stamped Normandy. Was this typical of the Normandy clarinet?

I really can't answer that, except to say my only Normandy (4) is all wood. Plays well, too.

The configuration of the Normandy model has changed over time. I don't know what order the changes were but it has been all plastic, all wood, and mixed.
At one time it was Leblanc's student level horn. Now it is a step up horn between the beginner's plastic Vito and the intermediate Noblets.

There was a time that Normandy "Specials" were supplied with resonite barrels and bells. The Selmer Signet "Special" was marketed the same way.
