I have played with a cold as long as I can still breathe. Taking something like Nyquil may help.

keep your mouthpiece and reeds as clern as posible. the germs on these two will prolong the cold.

I disagree with the above post. Keep playing. Your cold will "run its course" and any residual germs left will be ineffective against your newly developed immune defense to the cold you just had. Not much fun playing when you can't breath properly, but re-infection should not be a worry.
Disclainmer--I am NOT a physician, but this is what I have read. Any real "Doc's" out there, what do you prescribe for "playing with germs???"

It's ok. In fact sometimes when you're sick you even sound better because your breath is warm and you're supposed to breath warm air in the clarinet.
