Since you just bought an instrument, Nahya, there's no hurry. So, why not wait to see how you do with it before you decide to 'upgrade'?
In the meantime, as for gathering information you might be well advised to check out some of the Sponsors here at Sneezy. Click on "Sponsored by" at top of this page
My personal favorable experience with student instruments, for whatever it's worth, has been:
*Vito (LeBlanc) (Reso-tone #3) - reconditioned, $175.00 - $350.00
*Bundy (Selmer) (Resonite) - reconditioned, $175.00 - $300.00
-(retail store prices)
(These are by no means the *only* or even the *best* buys in all situations. Seek a clarinet teacher or repair tech (Not a salesperson) in your area for additional advice. Tell them what you wish to do... (purchase a decent student clarinet for yourself).
If you buy (cheap = under $50.00) on eBay, figure an additional $100.00 - $200.00 or more for re-pad/overhaul/adjustment. If at all possible, ask a clarinet player friend to look the pictures over carefully and help you ask questions of the seller before bidding.
And... HAVE PATIENCE :]
