Hi Everyone,
I was in the Chicago area this past weekend and stopped in Des Plaines at IMS (what a nice store). I picked up a Joue Jolie ligature (a whole $12.50) and just got done playing it. Wow!!!
I currently use a modified Gigliotti (me and my Dremel) and switch between a Vanodoren, inverted Bonade, and a classic Portnoy but this simple little ligature is incredible. My setup is a Series 9, Portnoy BP02, and either LaVoz or Vandoren reeds.
Anyone else with any experience with this ligature? It is Richard Hawkins endorsed (and maybe even produced). I have a rehearsal tonight and am anxious to try the new ligature.
Regards,
HRL
