 20-7 and18-7 Buffet Clarinets
Author: Sherwood w. Franklin

I have a 20 key, 7 ring Buffet Master Bore clarinet, Sn 22516, that I have owned since 1941 when it was bought new by my parents. I have enjoyed playing it over the years. Recently, I acquired an 18 key, 7 ring Buffet, SN 22237. This clarinet is in excellent condition. Alvin Swiney once sent a message to Francois Kloc,
" However according to Hans Moennig, the original design of the 22000 Buffet that Ralph McLane used did play in tune from the factory without extensive set up work." Tha tstatement always impressed me because Ralph McLane was such an outstanding clarinetist. Thanks for letting me share my pleasure with all of you.
