Anybody played one of these? How old is it? Chedeville blank?

Very possible?? I have a NEMC with the 1 and 3 lig scorings, which has a G8 facing, much the same as my old Woodwind G8, plays well, and I also wonder about it!! Why not ask L C? Don

someone once got grumpy with me on sneezy for asking the vintage of an old Selmer "D"- i had never seen a Selmer with the marking stamped on the table and remembered being told to "look out for the early Selmers- some of them are really nice"
.... and now i get their (the grumpy persons) point..... um- this has "woodwind" stamped on it.... it looks pretty much the same as my Larry Combs mouthpiece i gave away in 1996.... i wouldn't have given it away if it had been a Chedeville blank.... they play with a nice compact tone but the intonation always seemed to be a struggle.... there is a good chance you have a nice mouthpiece here, but i seriously doubt it has any "vintage" value.

I agree with Donald on this one, I think it's an ordinary LC mouthpiece only it's got an older woodwind company badge on it... The woodwind company changed their badge in the 90's although I can't remember what year.

I will examine the mouthpiece more closely when it arrives. I doubt it very much it's made in the 90's. IMO, it's made earlier. Woodwind Company was known to use Chedevelle Blanks to make some (Woodwind G8) older mouthpieces and, I think/hope/wish, this is one of them.....V

Strangely enough this looks like an older one I let someone burrow at Univerisity in 88 nad they never returned! I have tried a few of these since and they aren't a bad mouthpiece at all! The Coombs is something like a re vamped Chedeville in design...I doubt it is a blank by Chedeville or it should be as green as most older vintage mouthpieces get. However, it could be a good one so keep it. Sincerely DD
