 "*" Imprint on Selmer barrel. Help!

On the tuning barrel there is a "*" (star) center stamped below the Henri Selmer Paris logo. What's the meaning of this imprint? Thanks......V

That designates the barrel of a Selmer Series 9* clarinet. I have two similarily marked barrels with mine.

I believe mention was made of this * earlier, that on the UJ/LJ [ser. nos. also?] it indicates a factory replacement. Barrels and mps partic. are another question, IMHO. Don
