Anyone ever seen one of these before? I've looked at many eBay ads over the last several years and this one surprised me. That said, it doesn't look like a particularly interesting instrument.

New to me also. Looks like a older French-designed export to GB, possibly similar to the early G M Bundys of the US 1930's?? Don

Seler London was similar to Selmer USA - there was a split between the London distributors & the French Selmer, just like in the USA.

This post is not aimed at Vytas, but is a general comment:

While I appreciate the fact that people have questions about eBay items all the time, let's let people do their own searches on eBay for similar items. Post a link if you must on an original question about an eBay item, but in almost all cases there's no need to post yet a different link to an eBay item.

Sometimes I feel that the Bulletin Board is becoming a "shill" for eBay (and in fact it has been misused that way by a few unscrupulous posters in the past).

"Vintage"? "Old" maybe... Some severe wear visible, but then it could mean it's been played a lot.

I had one. Nice, reliable, in tune, extremely nice sound and made of wood. The metal on the keywork was a bit less than robust, though.

Get it if it's cheap and works. However, it's really only a bottom-of-the-line schoolkid's clarinet, but on that level, it works perfectly well.

My neice is learning on it and actually prefers it to my old Bassi, which I've now reposessed from the ungrateful scamp. No taste, kids these days...

The crap that some people are selling lock stock and barrel is amazing. If one is interested in parting with their money thats great ,but man the junk I have seen on the market is deplorable! The fact that it is old does not make it better... ...Ebay has really a place but not on this site....Vintage I have found can and usually means a smelly 20s clarinet so out tune my dog would hate me! Let the buyer beware!!!! DD
