Attending the summer adult program at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa was a great experience.
First of all this is the first time i have ever played (?) with a full band. The music was way over my head. We had 80 member of the band; with 27 clairnetest. By the end of the week i was able to play and few notes and was able to read the music.
We had classes, band rehersal, master class, ensemble rehersals etc. etc.
I'm glad i went. i may go again next year, however fest will be #1 on my list.
There was one other member of this board at the camp and i was so glad she was there.

I am going to camp in a month ( last time I went to camp was 1976) and I am so excited. I assume you mean you are going to Clarinetfest in Salt Lake City next year. Me too. Sweden was out of my price range, despite the fact I could have been in Stockholm on my birthday, I just couldn't justify that unique experience financially.

Looks like you had a great time. One of the best ways to learn is to share. Did you folks do much sharing? I mean, it looks like you had a pretty busy schedule. I enjoy your posts and have learned 'a thing or two' just from reading them. You have a lot to offer - I hope you were able to there too.
And... did the horses recognize you when you got back?
