Don't settle in on looking for a "Jazz clarinet". There ain't no such animal. Look for a good clarinet. This is an older one so you want to play it before you buy to check intonation, tone, and that the owner took it to a good repair person who did a decent job (the price of $175 is less than 1/2 of the cheapest overhaul I have ever purchased)... did he/she repair all chipped tone holes and adjust the intonation? Did the wood get a good detergent wash and then properly oil soaked for about a week?.
Interesting he didn't put current photos up there, just says it looks different now.
Once you have a good playing horn then find a mouthpiece which will help you to play the style you like. I use a 1925 full Boehm Buffet with a Greg Smith mothpiece in orchestra and it is wonderful, however it wouldn't cut it in the big band. When I drop on my "Pete Fountain" glass mouthpiece it is a killer jazz horn for the big band, of course I would get bounced out of orchestra with that jazz sound. Most of your sound will be you, your embochure, your mouthpiece and reed, your barrel and finally your clarinet. That order is the order of importance of the component (IMHO).
I am ashamed to say that I have been out played by a good player on a cheap plastic clarinet. So as you see, if you have a decent set-up already you may not need to gamble on an unknown horn.
That said, if money is no object then go for that horn, you may just pull out a winner, if not you still can make a lamp.

The "Jazz" is not in the clarinet--it is within YOU!!!! For my symphonic and jazz playing, I use the same clarinet and mouthpiece set-up. What's wrong with a good sound in Jazz???
