In England (where I grew up) I had a copy of the Templeton sonata no one and wondered if this is still available and who may be publishing these now? My teacher in the Royal Philharmonic said they were jolly good fun so my inclination was to buy the pieces(chapell i believe). Anyways, I have lost them, but still remember the joy of playing them on my new Imperial clarinet....those were great days. does anyone publish Templeton's music now and who?

They are both available from Luyben Music, look on their website and they are listed under clarinet and piano. I just ordered #2 from them, and #1 is available agian after being out of print. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure the titles are "Pocket-Size Sonata" # 1 and # 2. Reginald Kell recorded a wonderful version of # 1 on a Decca LP that's very hard to find but worth seeking out. He got just the right mix of classical and jazz feel, and his vibrato was exactly right.
Good luck in finding the music. Many people have posted over the years saying how hard it is to get hold of. When you find it, please let us know where it's available.
Best regards.

Ken is right, I'm looking at my published copy now. They also make great/versatile little encores.
