Hi again, what is the difference between the Buffet E-45 and the Buffet E-12? Also, what is the difference between the E-45/E-12 and the E-11 in terms of production. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks.

The E-45 and the E-12 are essentially the same instrument--the only diference is that E-45 was the model number used before 1992. I'm sure someone else can elaborate on this, but the only differences between the 12 and the 11 is that the 12 is made from somewhat better wood and, according to the Buffet web site, has a "more sophisticated bore, whatever that implies.

The E-11 is basically a wooden B-12 and is made in the Schreiber factory in Germany ,I'm not sure about the E-12 but the E-13 is made in Paris.
