Could anyone advise me on play along cd's that would be suitable training (for students) for preparing for orchestral training. I'm looking for something which offers all the well known excerpts for clarinet with orchestra accompanyment!
Any ideas would be welcome,
thanks

Look at the offerings from Dowani. You can obtain details and get extracts from their recordings on their website, <<www.dowani.com>>

All of Music Minus One 'Laureate series' are good although they are all solo pieces with famous soloists playing clarinet part on one side and you play on the other side.
However other MMO recordings are poorer in recording.

Music minus One's (MMO) newest version of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto and their older Stamitz/Weber concertos are both very good. All the concertos feature a full orchestra accompaniment
The Stamitz concerto is a nice intermediate piece and fun to play. Sounds like what you may be looking for. The Weber concerto is tougher, but very rewarding.
"The Mozart" concerto comes with both the Bb and A scores; however, unless you're really good, you better have an A clarinet to play with the orchestra. I never get tired of playing this wonderful piece.
The following link should take you to the right place:
