I have actually started a few topics on what to pick when going trough buffet clarinets. I have finally come to the conclusion that I want a Prestige. The only question is what kind? I have heard that RC Prestige is what is popular in Europe and Asia and for the United State the R-13 line is what is most popular. I myself am american. What is the real differences between these two horns who's specifications are pretty much the same?

Bore design, tone hole placement, and register placement are different.
In other words - they're two different animals completely.

James:
I'm curious. What were the particulars that made you decide these were the choices for you?

Well I have just sold my Leblanc Opus to get a buffet horn. I am used to the Eb key and the silver keys ect so I figured a Prestige is what would work for me.

More curiosities:
Why did you sell your Opus before you purchased your Buffet?
What was it about the Opus that you didn't like?
What is it about the Buffet that you like better?
Thanks,
Matt
