Where are the Eb clarinet and Bass Clarinet Concerti? They've been around far too long and are far too prevelant in symphonies to not have their rightful place at the edge of the stage!! We have, dare i say it, piccolo concerti, we have Tuba concerti, heck we even have saxophone concerti and they're not even a permanent staple in the orchestra!! I want my Eb and Bass Concerti!!!! :- )

Johann Melchior Molter wrote 4 concerti for D clarinet that are quite nice. You could play them on Eb, but I would advise transposing the accompaniment rather than the solo part.
Elliott Carter wrote a triple concerto for Bb, Bass and Contrabass (!) Clarinets; his Piano Concerto calls for a small group of concertante instruments, one of which is a bass clarinet, that sits uo front with the pianist.
There is a (I think) Belgian bass clarinettist named Harry Spaarnay that commissioned a number of bass clarinet concerti for himself.

I am trying to get one of my local composer friends to write me something for my new bass clarinet. He is a bassoonist and is quite "laid back" about getting anything done, but I'll let you all know if I have success.

Check out Easley Blackwood's Sonatina for Eb Calrinet and piano, really great piece.
