On the same lines as Linus, I agree that we should get rid of all the other greetings and farewells that have etched themselves into painful repetition... Anyways, as it has been said before, this is a public board, and a person (within the guidelines) can put whatever greetings and farewells that he or she desires. And another point that has been posted before: If you don't like it, don't read messages from people you know that use it. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I find the logic of this argument somewhat flawed. If every hackneyed expression were removed one by one, I don't know that there would be anything left to say.

What's the big deal with saying "Good clarinetting"? It always makes me smile and it's really no big deal. At least they aren't saying something like "Hope you sound like garbage in your next concert/recital"
