Shelly,

I'm shocked and insulted. How dare you draw such a distinction? From now on I will just go by my real name. You meany!

Sincerely,

Vardenos Siam (Artist previously known as Myassys Dragon)

Ya know Myassys Dragon, you shouldn't be offended by something someone says about you. You shouldn't care what people think and you shouldn't change your name unless you aggree with what this Shelly person said.

"Trade in" is another term for "give it away". Why not sell it?
What's wrong with it?

David: Years ago I sold the first clarinet I ever owned.....and have been sorry ever since even though I've had several better ones in the interim. If you persist with your clarinet playing you will probably have affairs with all your horns....but none like the first one....

Try a few instruments. Leblanc, Selmer, Buffet, Yamaha, and Patricola all make fine clarinets. If you are upgrading, you may as well get a nice one! If you try new instruments, remember that they may need "tweeking" and the keys may stiff at first. Also, there is a "breaking in time" in which, hopefully, your wood will not break/crack. Do some research first and talk to your teacher. If you don't have a teacher you may want to talk to one at a local college first. Good luck.
