During my visit to Paris, I also went to Vandoren shop located at Rue de Lepic (Banche Metro Station).
It is a small retail shop with some practice rooms for testing mouthpiece. Besides you can buy Vandoren accessories, reeds and mouthpieces (only Vandoren of course), it has a rather good collection of clarinet music scores and some CDs. In fact, you can find out the catalogue from Vandoren's website.
The most interest thing is the discovery of the new Vandoren mouthpiece M30.
It is said to be incorporated "a very long facing and a large tip rail to produce a mouthpiece similar in sonority to the B40, with easier sound production qualities". According to Vandoren's pamphlet, M30 has a tip opening of 115/100 mm and its reed strengths are the same of 5RV and 5RVL (traditional 3 to 4). Again, it has pitch 442 hz. and 440 hz. two versions.
I did a very short testing on this new M30. Eventually, I ended up with M30 profile 88 (pitch 442 hz.) because the 440 hz. version is a bit too flat on my new Festivals.
I think those Vandoren fans are going to spend some money on this new model and we will hear some comments soon.

Just the same as you from Hong Kong, see if you are interested in contacting me by e-mail.
I did the same clarinet shopping a few years ago but I did it in Berlin, and it really worths. That trip really affects me much on clarinet playhing, especially on my swtich to German system. Visting other countries for clarinet shopping is really an invaluable experience. See if you are interested in meeting me in e-mails, clarinet players are really rare in Hong Kong.
