Does anyone know where I can find a Martin ligature? I know that they don't make them anymore, but if you know of a place that may have some old ones, please let me know! Thanks.
Marci

You may be looking for a rare bird, but you have found one, but only one! It fits well on a Selmer HS* Bb cl mp, is well tarnished [needs buffing] but otherwise intact. Why do you want one? Why dont you ask the oldest repair-person you know of if you could search his junk box? I dont put a high value on it, if you are interested, prob. EM me at dberger19@aol.com so as to keep Mark happy! Don

I dont regard my Martin lig as anything at all special, just an early 1900's "standard" two screw lig. The logo is within a diamond, with M above, Martin in middle and France below, located on the lower back. As best I know, Martin [France-Italy] made a fairly wide line of insts earlier and prob became M Freres [brothers] in the mid 1900's , Mark , please help from Langwill. Don

Don,
Martin freres started out that way - it was started by the brothers Jean-Baptiste, Claude Eugene, and Felix. None of their marks match your ligature.

There are 25 Martins listed, but none match the info you gave.
