I need to determine the scoring (Clar. I/II (Bb/A/C), Bass, Eb, etc.) of about a dozen orchestral pieces. Can anyone recommend a resource to find this info (without going and buying the scores)?

You can get a free orchestral catalog from Lucks Music at www.lucksmusic.net, which has the full scoring inside.

A lot of "us" in here have this information at hand, why not ask which works?

Kalmus (www.kalmus-music.com) also has an on-line catalog that lists instrumentation.
Lucks lets you download their catalog as a pdf file, but I don't believe it lists instrumentation for every piece.
If you would like to list the pieces here, I can probably give you the info.

any music library should have scores or at least mini scores of most works, you could check there

Yes, I found that the Lucks catalog gives instrumentation for many, but not all pieces. Also, it's not clear if the clarinet parts are written for C, Bb, or A.
I didnt want to burden you with a list, but since you offered (diz and rmk) Ill post the works tomorrow (I left the list at home).
Thanks

OK, since you offered
Can anyone determine the instrumentation required (of the clarinet section) for these pieces?
Ive searched the catalogs from Lucks and Kalmus, but its not evident what key the clarinet parts are for (Eb/D/C/Bb/A).
Barber, Symphony No. 1
Mozart, Requiem I think there are arrangements with and w/o clarinets
Schumann, Manfred Overture
Stravinsky, Firebird Suite (2nd Edition)
Brahms, Violin Concerto
Glinka, Russlan & Ludmilla Overture
Beethoven, Symphony No. 3
Moszkowski, Suite for two Violins and Orchestra
Berlioz, Benvenuto Cellini Overture
De Falla, The Three Cornered Hat
Lizst, Piano Concerto No. 2
Thanks

Here's what I know off the top of my head; I will check the others and post them tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it:
Mozart, Requiem Kalmus, Bb, A, C; Barenreiter, Bb only (of course the original uses basset horns in F)
Stravinsky, Firebird Suite (2nd Edition) A Clar. (I assume you mean the 1919 Suite)
Brahms, Violin Concerto Bb and A
Glinka, Russlan & Ludmilla Overture A Clar.
Beethoven, Symphony No. 3 Bb Clar.
Berlioz, Benvenuto Cellini Overture C Clar.
De Falla, The Three Cornered Hat Bb and A
Lizst, Piano Concerto No. 2 A Clar.

Just for the record
The Barber 1st symphony calls for 2 A clarinets and Bb Bass. Awesome piece!
