 RNCM Audition

I am planning to audition for the Royal Northern College of Music in November and i have to provide to essays on historical and theoretical topics of music. If anyone has any interesting suggestions on topics please let me know!

You could try the history of the use of the octotonic scale as a teaching aid for student clarinettists.
If you get into the RNCM you'll be having to study it, whatever it is.
