I agree--- I wanted to post something, but I couldn't because I don't do rhyme poetry--or poetry at all--esp. off the top of my head. ALso, I don't have the time to think of things like that---where do guys get your ideas???Anyway--it was fun to read, and I was impressed.

I truly enjoyed this thread.
My favorite was from Fred.....
""We're all a part - We're not the Whole;
Just a pebble in the sea.
But called to round each other out,
As you bump into me. ""
Come on guys.....the challange is at call
The time is now to rhyme.
And most of all,
It can't be any worse than MINE.
((SEE????))

Just to clarify a little......
I AM NOT A POET, as you can well see.
For with this challenge I chose to fiddle,
Hoping that others would feel just as free.
For of myself I may make a fool,
But if I don't, someone else could.
As a "pebble" I am a tool,
To keep this fun going, as it should.

This was a great thread! I really enjoyed all the creativity and thought that went into it...I wanted to post, but like Michelle, couldn't come up with anything. :( Anyway, cudos to those who triumphed!:)

Are we going to stop this thread now?
All you poets arise. Take a bow!
From "Down Under" to Beverly Hills
A career path this surely instills.
No sir, not all have the drive.
Many work hard, few arrive.
To play for your pay is not rare.
Just open your case in Times Square. ...GBK

New Orleans lies wide open spread.
So why has nothing ever been said?
Just pick a corner, pull it out,
Make the spectators scream and shout.
(Yes, I am talking about a clarinet.)

New Orleans is certainly fine.
For great jazz, good food, and fine wine.
New York has no ants, bugs or gnats.
We only have big subway rats. ...GBK

I rather enoyed this poast at first thinking it was a hoax.
From jazz, to ragtime, to swing
May we all give our instruments a fling
