I love my BG revelation ligature but i kinda feel that it's lost the spunk it had when i 1st got it, possibly due to the wear and tear on the alignment of the metal ridges, they appear to be uneven now... Is this a good time to replace it?

Some types of ligature need fairly frequent replacement. I have always found BG's to require frequent replacement to keep their edge. The last two standard BG clarinet ligs I had self destructed within 12 months. One lost the rubber pressure plate, split down the middle and the one before lost the thread out of the receiving nut. I still have a Tradition I keep as a spare which is about 5 years old.
[By the way Frank (Bichon), where is my German Lig? In case you are listening!]

Keil -
Take the GB to a store that sells them and compare. Or do it at home by tieing the reed on with string (which is better than any ligature) and compare.
Best regards.

I've used the Super Revelation BG for several years and haven't replaced it. However, I might try a new one sometime just to see if there's a difference. They're pretty tough ligs.
