Hey Everyone! I am going to try out for the Lincoln Youth Symphony in a week. I'm really nervous about this and I want to know if anyone can please give me some pointers. Thanks!

i was in a youth orchestra for a year or two, but then i quit due to my lack of social skills back then.

my suggestion is that you try your hardest to make it fun, and it will be. you'll be playing cool music that will challenge you:) the playing part was really great and fun, i'm just not a very social person.

now for tryouts - don't go in there thinking you won't make it. have confidence and focus, but relax at the same time.

i'll say a prayer for you, and i wish you the best:)

youth orchestras can be murderously bitchy - but be tough and have a good time, best of luck.
