I need help!
For years, I used a Gigliotti silk clarinet swab, which was great - never jammed, was easy to wash and pleasant to look at. However, about a month ago my new puppy had it for lunch. Since then, I was trying to find it everywhere - my local swab retailer, countless websites, and even Ebay without any success. Does anybody know if those swabs are still being made and where can I get one?
Thank you,
Herb

Check out A.M. Gigliotti, Inc. on the sponsors page. You will find it there.

Herb: just buy a silk handkerchief and stitch one corner to one end of one of those light bulb pull chain strings. The end of the string with the "pull chain" becomes the weight. I cut one handkerchief in half on the diagonal and made two....not too good looking but functional. Hope this doesn't get you too excited, Dave..

The "Doctor" also makes one of the best swabs I've ever used. Very nice, lint free and never jams.
His site is listed here at woodwind.org
