I'm doing a research project and this volume is missing from
my school's library. If you could answer the following questions
about the Master Class article on Lutoslawski's Dance Preludes
on page 4-8, I would greatly appreciate it!
1. Is information included about the composer or background on
the piece itself?
2. Are there any musical examples from the piece?
3. Is the focus of the article a measure by measure performance
guide or is does it cover broad topics and/or issues associated
with performing the piece?
4. Are there any special features such as fingerings or charts?
Thanks so much!
Good clarinetting!

the piece itself?
Not really any information about Lutoslawski or the background of the piece.
2. Are there any musical examples from the piece?
Yes, 4 brief excerpts from the clarinet part, one 4-measure excerpt from the orchestral score.
3. Is the focus of the article a measure by measure performance
guide or is does it cover broad topics and/or issues associated
with performing the piece?
Probably closer to a measure by measure performance guide.
4. Are there any special features such as fingerings or charts?
No.
Best regards,
jnk
