Last night was the last concert of the "season" and what a finale it was.
The DWS played along side the US Army Field Band and we heard some terrific music -- you had to have been there.
I believe one of our own Sneeziers was a participant in the program.
Was that you Forest?
Excellent program -- can't wait to see their July Fourth program again this year.

Jerry,
I play often with the Dallas Wind Sym....but I had a conflict with this last concert. I was in the pit doing South Pacific at the new NextStage performance center.
I always enjoy my efforts with the DWS...a very fine bunch of musicians with a top flight conductor in Jerry Junkin, the director of bands at UT Austin. I play Eb clarinet most often with the DWS.
If people have interest in hearing wind music at the level caliber of the old Eastman Wind Ensemble recordings....find and buy some of the DWS recordings. They are top flight. As a matter of fact, Fredrick Fennell is the resident guest artist and conducts the ensemble at least once each year. He has conducted on several of the DWS recordings.
Glad you enjoyed the concert.
Regards,
F. Aten
