Hi,
Does anyone know where I can fin infomation on and old Buffet Clarinet? Like serial # chats and names on models ? The one Iwas asked to look at had Artist marked on it and the # was 7189. I'm mainly a sax player ,but he had a sax and clarinet combo to sell. Iwant the the sax sax but am unsure of the value of the clarinet. He said his father playedin the 20's.
Thanks in advance for your help

Try going to www.boosey.com and searching for the year it was made. Once you go into the website go to "Tips & More" and do the the serial # search

It's gotta be old age. I'm confusing two threads ... my apologies.

I don't recall seeing Buffet offering anyting called an Artist model. Does it say Buffet Crampon on each piece or something like Auguste Buffet. The latter is something else entirely, and not worth much. With that vintage, buffet usually marked the serial number on both the upper and lower joints and also on the undersides of one or more keys?
