For those of you which play on a hawkins mouthpiece, either the 'standard' or 'b' facings, what kind and strength of reeds to you find works the best for you on that mouthpiece?

I use V12 4's on the "B" facing. What does the "B" stand for anyway? Just wondering.

I have actually have used both mouthpieces and have used V12. The difference between them i believe is only that the B series are made from a special type of zinner blank. He makes all of his mouthpieces generally the same way.

With my Hawkins (standard facing) I use 4 and 4 1/2 Grand Concert Evolution reeds. I just switched to the Evolutions from V12 #4's, and they sound GREAT with my mouthpiece.
