I recently read, in over 3 sources, that Yo Yo Ma (unanimously
praised as best cellist in cello-history) is thinking of taking up the clarinet.
You think he'll make a good clarinetist?

Well, at least he won't have to borrow instruments from museums! Let us know any more findings about this!

Let us hope that he does not over rosin his reeds. But his vibrato should be superb. Good Clarineting Yo Yo!!!!!!!!

I can't agree that Yo Yo Ma is "unanimously
praised as best cellist in cello-history".
Rostropovich, maybe.
Casals quite possibly.
And names like du Pre and Tortelier come to my mind before the estimable YYM.

Gb wrote: "Yo Yo Ma (unanimously praised as best cellist in cello-history)" Unanimously means everyone right? Well I for one think that du Pre and Rostropovich were better cellists. Sure, thats only a personal opinion, but I'd be very careful about using the word unanimous.
