never heard of 'em. what do they look like? how do they play?
and how is the reed held on? does it have rails like the bonade?
are bay ligs popular?

Bay ligitures are modeled after the older Kaspar ligs and feature a lightweight metal construction that, according to Charles, "Allows the reed to virbrate freely--that is it's sercret." They are made in silver and gold plated models--I have both and, for some reason which I cannot intelligently explain, I prefer the gold. They are good ligitures but tend to break, if tightened to much, due to the lightness of the metal and the depth of the ornamental scrolling. If handled with care, however, they are durable, effective and reasonably priced. Last time I checked, around $20.00 a lig. Hope this helps--I did not intend this to be a "commercial" but rather an "infomercial." Good Clarineting!!!!!!!

There is an rodium plated type too.
There is also a type with two o-rings to hold the reed more
softly:I have never tried this type but they say it makes
the sound somewhat velvet covered.
One thing to take care is that they have three sizes small, medium,
and large depending on the sizes of mouthpiece contours.
