ya gotta laugh! The clarinet in this auction has nice holes that have special meaning, and some of them have rings around them! HA!

This eBay ad doesn't say many good things about the literacy and education of people living in Breezewood, Pennsylvania, does it?

We do chuckle occasionally about the lack of knowledge of eBay sellers, but I'm afraid this one has a more serious problem: he doesn't count very well. From the Item Description:

"THERE ARE THREE LARGER ONES WITH THE RINGS AROUND THEM AND
TWO SMALL ONES THAT DOESN'T HAVE ANY RINGS AROUND THEM."

I think he meant *a* small one, not two small ones. If it really did have two small holes without rings, that indeed would have very special meaning. It would mean one of the rings fell off, and the Clarinet is not functional. (I'll bet that thumb ring is really there.)

Actually, it does look to be in pretty good shape, if one presumes the pads are as good as the corks look. For fifty bucks or so, this might be a good prize for a student. Or would you prefer a nice, new Chinese-made instrument for only twice the money?

Regards,
John

Hey David and Bob, you DO know that I'm from PA, don't you...and so is the Phila orchestra! So, are you all going to bid on it? It may be the only clarinet in the world whose holes have special meaning, or did I run rings around your humor???? ;-)
