Can anyone give me information on summer music camps? A lot of my friends are going to Blue Lake in Michigan. My private teacher told me to look into DePaul University in Chicago. If you know of any in the midwest I would like to hear what they are. Thanks.

I went to the International Peace Gardens Music Camp as a kid 26 years ago. It was fun, kids from the US and Canada. It is in North Dakota on the Canadian border. Don't know how the quality is these days though.

Interlochen might be good if you're very intense and serious about playing and don't mind a competitive atmosphere. It isn't my cup of tea but some people love it there.
There's a program at Northwestern in Chicago, also. I think I'm auditioning for it but it's five weeks long and quite expensive so I may not go even if I get in (Interlochen is also expensive).
