 Missing Serial Number
Author: Carol

I recently acquired a Buffet R-13 that seems to be missing the serial number on the upper section. A serial number does appear on the lower section, but I can't find one on the upper section.

Has anyone else run into this, or can you offer up an explanation.

Thank you

Forgot to mention, the clarinet is almost 20 years old.

Is it possible it could be just worn off?

The top joint was most likely replaced. My son's Festival is the same way - the upper joint had to be replaced because of a fatal crack.
